So many times a joy is mine
From Your word I’m reading;
But now a grief in me I find;
This need in me I’m heeding;

Jesus promised those that come
Come to Him from You;
Yet many haven’t come to Your Son;
This grief in me too true;
So I must seek You, Father,
Just as You sought me out;
I’m desiring many brothers;
Hear this desire shout;

You know Your own, whom You have chose,
Known at Time’s foundation;
Thaw their hearts that sin had froze;
Lead them to Your Salvation;

“Yes, I know who are Mine,
Appointing angels for those heirs;
Chosen at the threshold of Time,
Where I heard your prayers;

“Just as I brought you to Me,
And then to My Son;
I will fish them from the Sea,
And make them with us one;
As I’m the Lord, who knows all things,
Each and every heart;
Through many trials, them I’ll bring,
And tear what’s dear apart;

“I will bring them to the edge,
Let them see their end;
I’ll remove My peaceful hedge,
That their hearts would rend;

“They must see their utter need,
To drive them to My Son;
And just as He is My Seed,
They must become undone;

“Then they’ll cling to what they’re shown,
Through those who spoke for Me;
It’s by that I will be known,
The Truth that sets them free.”

My prayer’s said, my grief is spoken,
I’ve strived with my Father;
Let birth pains come, make them broken;
I’ll thank You for my brothers.
