Sometimes angels come our way
We know that they are there
Sometimes they come to our aid
Completely unaware.
There are angels among us
Sent here by our side.
They touch our hearts and
We know where they abide.
In the form of the handicapped
To teach us real love inside.
They give us a smile of satisfaction
Even when they cannot speak
They are sent in the form
Of the mild and the meek.
They don’t ask for very much
Just a little of our time
They nestle into our hearts our souls
And into our mind.
We often question God ~
What where You thinking when
You created on earth our mentally
Or physically challenged friends?
But God knew that through them
In us will begin to grow
A heart of compassion
We other wise wouldn’t know.
In these hard hearted times
God goes through great lengths
To teach us how to find glory
For the weak show us strength.
Angels among us are in
Many shapes and forms
To teach us how our hearts
Can become eternally warm.
God sent to us these angels
He sent these gifts for free
He said “For what you do
To the least of these
You do so as unto me.”
God Thank you for
Allowing me to see
My very own angel
That watches over me!
In memory of Nancy Capriola and to all the residence of Hammer Terrace and Stouffer Terrace and all of their care givers and all of those involved in Village of Progress; I am privileged to know many of these angels!
