Beat the heat
(God speaks)

Beat the heat.
Is what I tell everyone.
Who seems to be having fun
Doing their will and not mine.
Only wasting time
Walking through many doors
I’ve never ordained
That inflict great pain
And leave many stains.

Beat the heat.
That’s what I said.
Get this through your head.
You’re on a road that’s dead.
My heart aches and dreads
The outcome ahead.

Beat the heat!
I’m yelling and screaming!
You’re only dreaming!
Please stop believing
The lies he is gleaming!
He’s always scheming!

Beat the heat.
Don’t you know that I love you
More than any other,
Especially the accuser of the brother.
Who stands daringly before me
And constantly pleads,
Asking me for your soul.
That devil’s, very bold.

Beat the heat.
I have a given my son,
My only one,
To cover your sin,
To ensure that you win,
The battle within,
Again and again.

So, beat the heat.
Get on your feet.
You can defeat,
The enemy,
That has reserved,
A front row seat,
Prepared for those,
Who love to live
Simply unreflective,
Of me.

In a day like today,
This what I pray.
That you won’t fall prey,
To the array of decay,
And finally walk away,
From that widen path
That so easily and quickly,
Leads you astray.
