When I went on my walk today,
I found growing along the way,
some lovely Queen Anne's Lace.

I know I written of this before,
but oh, the memories flood in galore,
filling up my mind.

My Mother going with us to the riverbank,
laughing as our feet into the mud sank,
we'd wave to the paddleboats.

Reading Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn,
wishing so that I could be just like him
dreams on a summer day

Picking berries with taste so sublime,
sweet memories of another time,
treasure in my heart

Now new things fill up my heart,
as I wake and a new day is about to start
of love given to me

God rescued me, made me brand new,
showing me all things right and true,
Life in Him had begun

Endless blessings He poured out on me,
a brand new heart that He had set free,
My joy almost complete

God had one other thing in store,
He gave me a husband I could adore
Desire of my heart

With every dawn, love is made brand new,
filled with joy and all things true,
Oh, how I LOVE YOU!!
