Marriage

I was thinking thins morning of those silly toys
made of sponge and packaged dry and flat,
but when you add water, what a difference that makes,
now who would have thought of that?

They are all different shapes and colors,
but appear to be all washed out hues,
for by themselves they are nothing at all,
it takes the water to make them brand new.

It made me think of the love we share,
that each morning I want to renew,
pouring out all my tender words and deeds
for love to grow it only takes a few.

But few is not what I want to give,
I want to pour out my heart,
and give you all that is lovely and bright,
and share with you every part.

God showers me every new morning
with peace and grace in His heavenly dew,
and I, in turn can pour it all out,
in everything that says "I LOVE YOU"
