Yesterday I went shopping,
went early to get it all done,
for I had plans for this weekend morning,
to spend time with you, one on one.

Too many things in each day,
people to see and things to do,
that in the jumble of minutes and hours
I find I lost sight of you.

You are busy over there,
and I am the same over here,
in the same room, yet drifting apart,
I wanted to bring us back near.

This morning we have a date,
there will be just us two,
and through the jumble of breakfast together,
I'll look in your face and be renewed.

I'll listen to your voice,
look in the face I adore,
and weave back together the threads of our lives,
having this, I need nothing more.

You are my wish fulfilled,
you are my dream come true,
and I want a quiet time for us to be together,
so I can tell you how much I LOVE YOU!
