Me, Me, Me


Lord, shine the light through me
Let all the lost see You in me
Look into the very heart of me
From sins, once again, free me

Lord, please show through me
Let Your blessing flow through me
I want them to know you by me
Show the relationship of You and me

Lord, I beg You to use me
Let Your Word grow in me
Share the Gospel through me
Show them it’s not about me


Brothers and Sisters,

Come on someone had to show a little selfishness… I thought it would be a little funny to show a selfish Christian. If one must talk about “me” then here is a good format to use.

So often situations can make a Christian get a little selfish, the whole “Whoa is me” attitude is so easy to fall into. It is easy to sit and feel sorry for yourself when you focus on the negativity surrounding you. Turn on the news, look at your situation, and look at the wind and the waves… I’m reading a gift from my church. It is the book “Facing Your Giants” by Max Lucado. It is a book to be digested, so I have been nibbling at it since I left North Carolina. The biggest thing I’ve learned so far in facing my giants is being God focused.

When you find yourself losing focus on the important thing, and start looking at the wind and waves maybe this little poem can help you, that if it must be about “me” it should go like this. God is to be praised and glorified in all things, especially in ME.


Thank all of you for your support and patience. I am trying to keep up with your works, but I am not having much success. Please continue to serve the Lord.

It is beautiful to see Jesus Shining through others. Having prayed like you, the spiritual warfare began. So though you may have been through many heartaches and pain - Be prepared for the heat to become hotter. The enemy is waiting to attack as soon as you take your eyes off the Master. Stay focused. Make your bible your best and most frequent read. Talk to God every moment and listen for His voice. Once you put on the whole armour of God you'll have all the tools you need to keep the enemy at bay. If we all apply this to our lives there will be more and more labourers. Less burnt out volunteers and less complaining of the lack of it. THE HARVEST IS READY 'yall'.
Let us reap the harvest God promised and take back what the enemy has stolen. Christian, may your days be blessed.

Looking in the mirror and wanting so desperately to see Christ's reflection looking back has been my continuing prayer, because if I see Christ then others will too. He alone is what it is ALL about. Christian, He honors the honest, humble heart ... and yours is one of them. Stand firm, ready and waiting - He will use you for the laborers are too few and the harvest is ripe! Blessings, Jody
