My Boy

Today marks another reason my God is praised
It is the twelth year of the boy we have raised
A son, this precious gift from Our Father given
My heir, my boy, is celebrating twelve years of living

How much love can one heart feel? How proud can I be?
My baby boy has grown into this young man I now see
I will always love you, my chlld, no matter what you do
This is a father's love and it is a love forever true

You have made me proud for so many wonderful things
But your choice to follow the Lord makes my heart sing
To know that you have focused on what is most important
This babe, now grown so much, is one of God's infants.

Happy Birthday, my one and only son, I love you so
But there is a love so much greater that you now know
Our Father in Heaven has blessed us with the gift of you.
We thank and praise God. Happy birthday, son! I love you.

I thought it only fair that I show my love for you here as I have done for your sister. I love you both so much.


All,

I could never manage enough words to establish how much I love my children. I am so thankful to God for my wife and my children. How much can a human heart feel.

I have only one son and he is my firstborn, my heir. When I look or think about this precious gift I find myself thinking how powerful a love that God has for His children.

Parents each of you know how painful it is to see your precious children hurting from anything, just think about Calvary. I can never love with a love that Our Father has. Think how much love it took to send Jesus to suffer for me. I am thankful for my son. I am thankful that we get to celebrate another year of his life. But most importantly I am thankful that Our Father loved us so much that He sent His Only Begotten Son that my son (and whoever believes) can live. Our salvation is assured because of a Father's love.
