When we went to pick out flowers and plants
to put around our little waterfall,
I was astonished all over again,
at the variety of them, both big and small

There was just foliage in all shades of green,
red and silver patterns on those over there,
and flowers of every size and description,
it was like being at a color-fair!

It made me think of the variety of people;
God made us, one by one,
and though we all have the same basic pattern,
each of us is uniquely done

And out of all the many people He made
God knew the 'when' and the 'who'
to give to me my heart's desire,
that spring day when He gave me you.

Just as we picked just the right flowers
to make our waterfall complete,
God chose you and I to be together,
to have all the joy for which we could seek

Every day I discover a new garden,
joy that today is brand new,
and know that soaring wonder and bliss,
to show you again how much I LOVE YOU!
