Marriage

Last night we went to another's wedding,
it was a grand as it could be,
But it was the two pledging their forever love,
that reached down and touched me.

It took me back to four years ago,
when you and I were the two,
who stood before God and our friends,
gave our hearts with each "I do".

No fancy dress did we have then,
no live music did we hear,
but nothing could have made it more special,
than to know that God drew near.

He was the one who brought us together,
never again to part,
and He is the one who leads us now,
each one safe in the other's heart.

Every day I still wake with joy,
our love still so fresh and new,
and nothing else can give me such happiness
than to show how much I LOVE YOU!!
