I was awakened several time
by storms throughout the night,
and the sound of the poor dog in fear,
climbing into the tub, out of sight.

The lightning flashed a grand light show,
the thunder's loud voice did roar,
and though my sleepy mind heard it all
it was like waves on a distant shore.

For here in my house, I am safe,
my love is right by my side,
no matter how fierce the storms out there,
in his tender care I will abide

Oh, how I thank God for bringing us together,
for filling my heart with love so true,
the pure joy of knowing no matter what comes,
hand in hand, following God, we'll get through.

Today the world is freshly washed,
vivid colors, so fresh and new,
and I have yet another wonderful day
to show how much I LOVE YOU!!
