Marriage

I was thinking this morning of some beautiful beads,
that I have in my craft room drawer,
when you first look at them, they are very pretty,
but oh, there is so much more!

For these have layers of different colors,
hidden inside that I cannot see,
but when you turn it this way or that,
the new rainbow is set free.

Laying flat, they might be green,
but pick them up, they're pink and blue,
worn as a necklace, they are ever changing,
but each color inside is true.

It reminds me so of the colors of our love,
changing from one to two or four,
all covered over with the smoothness of God's grace,'
that magnifies them even more.

God puts the colors deep within,
for a time they glow there in the dark,
but when He sends the one you are to love,
ah, they are touched by His divine spark!

Then the colors come alive,
they flash with all the rainbow hues,
surrounded forever with God's peace and grace
they remain the same, but ever new!

Oh, what a joy to awake each day,
to a treasure , brilliant and true,
and I know that I can gather it all up,
the colors of my heart that all say I LOVE YOU!
