Marriage

This morning when I poured my first
cup of coffee for the day,
I thought of how I think it's half full,
half-empty is what others might say.

Is the weather outside partly cloudy,
or sunny with a few clouds?
Do I thank God because I think I have to,
or do I eagerly sing His praises out loud?

It's all in how you look at things,
the choice is really up to me,
I can remain a captive of my thoughts,
or with God's help, I can set my spirit free!

I used to think that it was all doom and gloom,
that there was nothing good or true,
but Jesus rescued me from thinking that way,
and gave me a whole different world-view.

He showed me that when I follow Him,
the blessings will each day be brand new,
and then He made my life such a wonder,
starting with the day I first met you!

Now the cup is always half-full,
the sun is always just about to shine,
the joy is there, just waiting to be picked up,
and best of all, I am yours and you are mine!

Every morning I sing God's praise,
every night I end the day that way too,
and wrap myself in the tender blanket of your care,
Happiness surrounds me - oh, how I LOVE YOU!!
