I See God's Touch

I picked some tiny flowers the other day,
to press between some books,
to try and capture just that moment,
keep the fragile beauty of how they look.

Tiny yellow blooms, open like a cup,
some people think they're just weeds,
but I see God's touch in their velvety petals,
His attention to detail is just what I need.

For if He cared enough to make,
this tiny bloom with loveliness to spare,
how much more time and love did He use
when He fashioned me with such care?

It reminded me too, of just how our love
is shared between us two,
and every moment is held in my heart,
a memory-book of how I love you!

It's not the grand moments that stay in my heart,
not the 'things', but all of the tender care,
the touch of your hand, the look in your eyes,
everywhere you are, I want to be there.

The joy of waking every morning,
knowing the hours ahead will be spent,
doing all the little, small things
but to me, each one is heaven-sent.

Every day is like that tiny flower,
and I'll press it in my book of love,
and keep all these moments so close,
mementos of you, my gift from above.

Each day dawns in our corner of God's garden,
fresh from Him, blessed with His dew,
and its beauty just takes my breath away,
this wonder of how much I LOVE YOU!

We are so, so, so blessed to have the divine vision to see God's touch in such small things. Our view is a blessing that I don't believe people appreciate or even realize until they walk outside one day and find the tiniest wildflower hidden beneath the garbage. Well, that's where I personally first remember realizing that my vision was blessed. Wouldn't trade it for the world. Thousands of tiny flowers to you, Trish! You are certainly a blessing to me!
