How long must I bear pain
in my soul,
and have sorrow in my heart
all the day?

"Lord."

"Yes, child."

"That ache is there;
I cannot seem to get rid
of it.....
(Silence.)
....no matter what I do."

"I know, child."

"What should I do?"

"Seek Me, child."

"I am trying, Lord.
But, the pain can be
overwhelming. It
threatens to destroy me."

"Who created you, child?"

"Oh, Lord! Not THAT, again!
I come to You with my deep
tsoris, and all You give me
are more of Your riddles!
Please!"

[SILENCE.]

"Okay, okay!
Alright, Lord: YOU created me.
Eh, why couldn't You have
made me Nicole Kidman's twin?"

[RUMBLE. SECOND RUMBLE.]

"Oy, Lord! I was just joking!
(Chuckle. Silence.)
Actually, I wasn't.
But, don't worry about it."

"You are perfect in My eyes, child,
exactly the way I fashioned you."

(Mumble.)
"Yeah....whatever.
Anyhow, what were we talking about, Lord?"

"Your pain, child."

"Oy, Lord; why did You have to
remind me? I was trying to joke
my way out of it, as usual."

[NOD.]

"But, sometimes, it doesn't work,
Lord. THEN, what do I do?"

"Wait."

"Yeah. I know; I KNOW.
It will pass, huh?"

"Yes, My beloved."

"But, Lord! What do I do, while
I am waiting? And, You know....
the ghosts are all about me?
What do I DO? WHAT?"

"Seek Me, child."

(Silence. Silence filled
with defeat, and hopelessness,
and terrible heartache.)
"What if the ghosts are threatening
to drown me, Lord...."

"Who created the heavens and the
earth, child."

"You did, Lord."

"Who is greater than your
ghosts, My beloved?"

"Uh, I guess You are, Lord."

"WHO is, child?"

"You are, Lord. You are
bigger than all my ghosts."

"WHO?"

"You are, Lord. You are."

"Then, Whom should you seek, child?"

(Silence.)
"You, Lord. I should seek You."

[NOD.]

"So, I guess....like,
You're bigger than my despair,
and hopelessness, too?
Even those, Lord?
But....but, they're just so STRONG."

"Who is stronger than these, little one?"

"You are, Lord.
You are."

[NOD.]
"Seek Me, child.
And, live."

Seek the Lord your God,
and you will find Him,
if you search after Him
with all your heart and
with all your soul.
When you are in tribulation,
and all these things
come upon you in the latter days,
you will return to the Lord
your God.....
He will not fail you.
