if we pray to Him?

"Lord Jesus?"

"Yes, My child?"

"Today is our national
day of prayer.
Did You know that?"

"Yes, My child."

"I never heard of that,
when I was a kid. It
must be something new."

[SILENCE.]

"I never prayed to You,
when I was a kid, either,
Lord Jesus."

"Yes. I know, My beloved."

"Jews are told that God is
a very jealous God.
I always thought that He
would get jealous, if
I talked to You,
Lord Jesus."


"No, My dear child!"

"I bet to other Christians, that
might sound kind of dumb -
but, it's a real thing with
me, You know, Lord Jesus?"

[PATIENT NOD.]

"I'm still trying to know
You, Lord Jesus.
I really don't understand
You.
(Silence.)
You're still a big
Mystery to me."

"I know, little one.
It is alright."

"Last night, when I panicked -
and felt so much terrible
sadness - I prayed for You
to come to me."

[NOD.]

"Then, I found my palms straight
and touching:
fingertip to fingertip.
You know I never pray that way,
Lord Jesus."

"Yes. I know, My child."

"Suddenly I saw my palm
pressing against Your Palm -
in a sweet moment of child
touching her Creator -
and her Savior."

[SILENCE.]

"But, it's much more than
that, isn't Lord Jesus?"

"How, My daughter?"

"It's, like, hand-to-Hand
combat, isn't?"

[SMILE.]

"I mean, when I reach out to touch
You, Lord Jesus, I am
fighting......."

"Yes, My child."

"I am fighting the evil one,
aren't I?

"Read My Word, child."

"This part, Lord?
Here it is:

I have overcome the world."
[John 16:33]

"Remember that, child."

"But, it's a real struggle,
Lord Jesus, especially
when all of us hear
the terrible news of this
world!"

"And, what should you do
at that very moment,
little one?"

"We must put our
hands together, and
seek our Creator...."

"And, My child?"

(Silence.)
"And......
and, our Savior."
