Have you come to inquire of Me?
As I live, says the Lord God,
I will not be inquired of by you.
[Ezekiel 20: 3]

And I will bring you
into the wilderness of the peoples,
and there I will plead
My case with you face to face.......
[Ezekiel 20:35]
******************************
The author has demanded a one on One
with the Father. She finds herself
suddenly in the Throne Room in her
pajamas..............

[Lord Jesus]
Be quiet, child.
Sit down.

[author]
Lord, this is between me and Him!
Where is He? I want to speak to Him!

[Lord Jesus]
Child, I am here to intercede for you.

[author]
Lord Jesus, this chair's uncomfortable for me;
it's all hard and too straight. And, the
seat's cold; can I have another one?

[Father]
No.

[author]
Hey! That's no fair! I want......

[Father]
Tell her if it were not for My Son,
she would sitting, right now,
on My floor in a heap of ashes
and brimstone.

[author]
Lord Jesus, could You please tell
the Father that I've heard about
this brimstone all my life, and I don't
have any idea what the heck it is?

[Father]
Tell her that it might please Me,
at this moment, to show her.

[Lord Jesus]
Daughter, you must learn to be
more reverent before your Father.

[author]
But, He makes me so upset, Lord Jesus!

[Father]
Angry: Speak to Me in truth, daughter.

[author]
Yes! Angry! That's it!
I can't believe how mean He is!

[Lord Jesus]
Why do you say this, child.

[author]
Well, Lord Jesus, You see,
I was just reading Ezekiel....see?
(Holds up Bible)
Have You read this part?

[Father]
Oy vey es mir.

[Lord Jesus]
(SIGH.)
Yes, child. I know the Book of Ezekiel.
What is it you wish to discuss?

[author]
Okay, well....I'm very upset, Lord Jesus.
See, I was reading this one part....

[Father]
Tell her to read it, aloud.

[Lord Jesus]
Read it aloud, My child.

[author]
Okay, Lord Jesus.
I'll read, but only for You:

Behold, I am about to take the
delight of your eyes away from you
at a stroke;
yet you shall not mourn or weep
nor shall your tears run down.....
So I (Ezekiel) spoke to the people
in the morning, and at evening
my wife died..........
[Ezekiel 24:15-18]

See what I mean, Lord Jesus?

[Father]
What about it.

[Lord Jesus]
What does this mean to you, child.
Please speak.

[author]
I'm so disturbed, Lord Jesus,
that I can't talk to the Father,
at all!

[Father]
For all that My daughter does not
wish to speak to Me,
she does a great deal of talking.

[Lord Jesus smiles.]

[author]
So? I can talk if I want to!
I AM an American!

[Father]
Ah, yes. And, does she
remember Who made her one?

[Lord Jesus]
Did you hear what your Father
said, child?

[author]
(Grumble.) Yeah, I guess.

[Lord Jesus]
Explain to Me, child;
what is it you wish to talk about,
from Ezekiel?

[author]
It's just really unfair, Lord Jesus!
Why did Ezekiel's poor wife have
to die, all of a sudden, like that?
It just wasn't very nice!
How can God be so mean?
He's just callous, is all, really cold
.....and distant; that's right - distant,
too!

[Father]
I am with every breath that you take, child.

[author]
(Turns and faces the other way.)
I don't want to talk to Him!
He's cruel, and mean, and......

[Lord Jesus]
Child, it is not for you.....

[author]
(Stands up with arms folded.)
And, then He didn't even allow
Ezekiel to mourn for her, or
anything! I think that was
REALLY......

[Suddenly, the floor of the
Throne Room shakes.]

[Lord Jesus]
Sit down, child.
Do not interrupt Me.

(author, looking contrite,
slumps, and turns back to her
straight-backed, wooden chair.
There's no cushion, and the
wood is very cold. Her slipper
clad toes are starting to ache.
She grumbles, and mumbles to
herself:

How come this Throne place has
to be so uncomfortable?
I thought Heaven was supposed to
be, like, full of warm gardens, and
birds, and stuff.........

[Father]
Tell My daughter she's not in Heaven.
And, if it were not for My Son,
she might never see It.

[Lord Jesus]
Daughter, you must let Me
intercede for you. That is
why the Father sent Me to you.

[author]
(Hangs head. Plucks at
a button on her tatty robe.
She can see a stain of
strawberry sherbet drip, from
the other night.)
Yeah, okay. I'm sorry.
You know, Lord Jesus, I haven't
been a Christian that long.
I don't know how this works;
don't I get, like, a special
dispensation.....I mean,
You know, like,
being Jewish, and all?

[Father]
BE QUIET!

[author]
(Folds her arms again, and
stares down at the cold wooden
floor. She frowns, thinking of
all the movies about Heaven she had
ever seen. Why wasn't she sitting
atop a soft, white cloud? And,
where were all the angels? Maybe,
when the Father was in a bad mood,
they all, like, skiddadled.)

Can I have some icecream?

[Father]
No. Drink your water.

[author]
Lord Jesus, is He always this cranky?
Actually, that's my point, Lord Jesus.
It says, right here, in Ezekiel........

[Lord Jesus]
Have you finished reading it, My child?

[author]
Well, of course not. I'm not going
to, either. It's too mean, and nasty.

[Lord Jesus]
The Father's Will is not your will,
My child. You must remember that.
I want you to continue reading the Book,
and to learn to trust,
and obey.

[author]
I don't know. I'll see.
(Grumbles. Mumbles to herself,
and then turns to Lord Jesus.)
Can You ask one of His angels to
get me some popcorn, or something?
And, I only eat it with a lot of butter on it.
I don't mean the real butter; I like the stuff
they dunk all over it, at the movies.

[Father]
No. My angels are not here for her
beck and call.
And, tell My daughter to take better
care of her teeth.

[Lord Jesus]
Are you less angry now, child?

[author]
Yeah. I guess so.
But, that's just because of You,
Lord Jesus. If it weren't for You,
I wouldn't be talking to the Father,
at all.

[Lord Jesus]
(Sigh.)
No, child; you wouldn't.
You wouldn't.
Now, go back to sleep.
********************************
The Spirit helps us in our weakness;
for we do not know how to pray
as we ought,
but the Spirit Himself
intercedes for us with sighs
too deep for words........
the Spirit intercedes for the
saints according to the
will of God.........
[Romans 8:26]
