Faith is a gift, but all one needs is a receptive heart, and faith walks in. But if we insist on proving God exists by some human reasoning before we believe, then we have lessened Him to human height and made Him in our own image. Our God is too small if we have cut him down to fit finite capacities. Proving God by human means is as futile as attempting to count to infinity. If we refuse to take God on faith, we will never have Him. He is too big, and we are way too small.

"'For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor or your ways My ways', says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.'"

Exactly.

Aline, this is a good article. It reminds me of the little girl who said to her mother, "God is so big, and if He lives in me, won't He stick out?" God should "stick out" for all the world to know we are Christians. Thanks for sharing.
