Funny how things change so much
within the space of hours,
yesterday was so windy cold,
now its warm with the threat of showers.

It reminded me of how I was,
my life ran hot and then cold,
I had no anchor to keep me steady,
no real truth in my heart to hold.

Then one day I asked without even knowing,
pleaded for help in a very small voice,
and instantly Jesus was there by my side,
telling me I could make a different choice.

He showed me how my life could change,
all I need do is say 'yes' and follow Him,
and He would fill my heart with such peace,
truth and joy that would never dim.

From that moment on, my life's not been my own,
Now He tells me what to say and what to do,
and best of all, he gave me the gift of love,
when into my life He sent you!

Now I have the anchor I needed,
Jesus keeps me steady on my course,
and you gave me sails to realize my dreams,
and catch the wind that has God as its source.

Change now has become an adventure,
a joy that every day is brand new,
and I can't wait for each day to begin,
a gift from God that I can share with you!
