Jesus Whispers

For all the loved ones of the children who died
In the senseless murders publicized nationwide

He whispers: Come unto Me - I will give you rest
Take My yoke upon you, lean on My chest

Hearts are heavy, their grief is consuming
Hope is not found, thoughts of death are looming

He whispers: Come unto Me; My burden is light
Take rest for your soul, come out of the night

I know your sorrows, I have suffered them all
For you and your children ~ won’t you hear My call?

Pour out your grief, let Me heal your broken heart
Acknowledge My presence and I will never depart

There is peace found in Jesus and in Him alone
He is ready and waiting to call your soul…..home

Cry out to Jesus as you hear Him whisper to you
Comfort's found only in Jesus, no-one else will do

That tragedy is so overwhelmingly heartbreaking and shocking. My prayer is that those families/friends may hear Jesus' whispers and be comforted. This is a beautiful poem.
