God doesn’t give up on circumstances and situations

“ Therefore from one man, and him as good as dead were born as many as the stars of the sky in multitude –innumerable as sand which is by the seashore” (Heb 11:12)

The above scripture is about Abraham and Sarah how they miraculously conceived even though it was impossible in the natural. Sarah had been barren then she attained menopause. You may argue about where God was when She was within the age of child bearing but you’re just thinking like a man. God was there when Sarah was labeled a barren woman by people yet nothing happened. He was there and she got older and older; Abraham was also very old yet He was not threatened. He had given His word for it that He would give Abraham a child through Sarah whose descendants would be as many as the stars in the sky. God held out with them no matter how bad the circumstances were until His words came to pass. The situation even became seemingly more complex when Abraham and Sarah compromised. They sought for an alternative to fulfilling God’s promise because it appeared it could no longer happen at least through Sarah as she had passed her menopause. Sarah gave her servant Hagar to Abraham to lie with him and bear a child. They succeeded. For many years, there was no record of Abraham communicating with God again, then suddenly God showed up again and said it was not yet over despite all that has transpired. “ Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed and said in his heart, Shall a child be born to a man who is one hundred years old? And Sarah who is ninety nine years old, bear a child?” And Abraham said to God, “Oh, that Ishmael might live before you!” Then God said, “ No, Sarah your wife shall bear a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his descendants after him” (Gen 17:17-19).

God did bless Ishmael for Abraham’s sake but insisted that despite the prevailing circumstances His original plan would still stand. Against all odds, Sarah did conceive and gave birth to Isaac, Isaac gave birth to Israel and then the twelve tribes of Israel came from his twelve sons. Christians are the children of Abraham by faith (Gal3: 29). From one man and him as good as dead have been born as many as the stars in the sky and sands in the seashore. There is no impossibility with God. He does not give up on circumstances and situations. No matter how bad it may be, there is always a way with God. Your own situations and circumstances cannot be hopeless. They cannot be beyond God, trust him. If things have gone from bad to worse, still trust Him. He will turn your mourning into dancing, sorrow into your Joy.

Lazarus’ case seemed hopeless. He had been sick and a call was made to Jesus to come and heal him. Though Lazarus was a friend of Jesus, Jesus arrived late or so it seemed. His friend had been dead and buried in the grave for four days, what could He possibility do at that point? Martha and Mary said to him, “ Master if you had been here, our brother wouldn’t have died”. Martha consoled herself that her brother would rise again at the resurrection on the last day. Many times we are like that. We defer our miracles to the glorious by and by. We comfort deathly sick brethren that if they die, it would be fine as they would be at rest in heaven. While that is true, let us not forget that we serve a NOW God. He can intervene at anytime no matter how bad the situation may be. He is the master over situations and circumstances (MSC). How about you acquiring that ‘MSC Degree’, inorder to master your situations and circumstances. Jesus said, “ I am the resurrection and the life, he who believes in me though he were dead, yet he shall live and he who believes in me shall not see death”(Jn 11:25,26). What a glorious declaration! Jesus called, “Lazarus, come forth” And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with grave clothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Loose him, and let him go”(Jn 11:44). I didn’t know that raising the dead was that simple not to talk of someone who had been buried for 4 days.

Friend your situation is not beyond God. Don’t give up on your situations and circumstances. Keep holding on. Keep believing God for a change. Keep confessing positively. Something good is about to happen to you. God will move on your behalf in a big way and that mountain will give way. The things you are facing makes you a candidate for a miracle. Your help is on the way!
