It’s not my thoughts that you need,
Not my blood, for you, to bleed;
I have nothing that you would want,
Though I have much that I could flaunt;

For there’s nothing you seem to lack,
Since it’s the Lord keeping you on track;
And He alone knows whom He’s made,
Your person is of utmost grade;

If I could, this I would prove
To your heart, to make it move;
I’ve seen a spirit, so often fruity;
A soul bequeathed with so much beauty;

But then, why not? Look at your Maker,
The ultimate Lover and Heartbreaker;
He’s your Source, and great Reward,
Just as I know He is Your Lord;

Through you, I’m made a little richer;
Your person’s been like His pitcher,
Filled with your friendship and your trust;
It seems our meeting was His must.
