Run that good race
Where those who win
Run toward His face,
From their sin;

Those who run
To seek His prize,
Are with Him, one,
And seek His eyes;

They cast away
Their carnal leisure;
For favor, pray
To walk His pleasure;

They have no love
For this world;
To Him above,
Their hearts they’ve hurled;

Passions one time
Alluring yet weighty,
Now seem a crime
Against the Almighty;

So they’ve laid aside,
Looking unto Jesus;
In Him, they abide,
Since He keeps us;

So join the good race
Where’s there’s no loser,
Except those who embrace
That treacherous Accuser.
