Great Things He Hath Done!

Last week my little seven year old grandson, Casey asked Jesus to be the Lord of his life and tonight he was baptized. I am just bubbling over with joy! I went back with him so I could get some great pictures. He had the most beautiful smile on his face when he came up out of the baptismal water. He said “Nana, now I really am a brand new Casey!” I was the proudest Nana anybody has ever seen. The joy on that precious little boy’s face was enough to make my life complete if the Lord took me home right then and there. Praise God! He is answering my prayers, one by one.

Casey is a special little boy and not just because he is my grandson, (although that may have a little bit to do with it:). He is a twin. His sister Desiree was born first and Casey had trouble being born. He swallowed a lot of amniotic fluid and was very critical and fighting for his life. His lungs were damaged and he wasn’t breathing on his own. He was very tiny and had to stay in the hospital in the incubator with a breathing machine for almost four weeks. He finally came home but has suffered with asthma and breathing difficulties most of his young life. When he was just two or three months old we had to rush him back to the hospital and almost lost him again. Then again when he was two. But all this has not kept him from being an active, little boy whose loves life to the fullest.

And now he has Jesus as his Lord. I am so thankful to God for all His many blessings. As I sit here and write this, I can hardly see for my tears of joy. God is blessing my family starting with the little ones and working His way up to their Mama’s and Daddy’s and God willing; their PePa too (my husband). I can almost see His holy hands working and I will praise Him to my last breath on this earth.

God had a plan for Casey all along. He knew Casey would eventually be His child. He has a plan for all of us. All we have to do is become as a little child and fall at His feet in submission to His will for us. In Luke 18:17 Jesus says “Verily I say unto you, whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter in.” KJV

Have you come to Jesus as a trusting, innocent, loving, obedient child? Have you fallen at His feet and said “not my will, but Thine, oh Lord” and meant it?

If not, do it today! He has so much love to give you. His arms are open wide wanting to receive you as His very own. Right now - fall at His feet and receive His kingdom inside your heart. Trust Him…..He loves you so much.
