I Want To Leave A Legacy
To show them You, Lord Jesus in me
How Your love set my dark soul free
In the times they’ve seen me in prayer
Seeking Your will, seeking Your care
In the nights I’ve opened Your book
So they remember where they can look
For the Truth, the Way and the Life
When this old world cuts like a knife
By Your words I’ve spoken in rhyme
With my whole heart, time after time
In the love I shower on them today
In hopes that You have been on display
When my years as a pilgrim are through
Help them know I’m in heaven with You
For the memories that will bring them joy
When satan comes to kill and destroy
To point my children to the only true God
I want to leave a legacy
So they will know - You were in me
I want to leave a legacy……
