We do not know how to pray as we ought;
but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us
with sighs too deep for words.
[Romans 8:26]
*************************************
"Lord Jesus?"

"Yes, My child?"

"I'm mad at the Father, again."

"I know."

"Have I been naive, Lord Jesus?
About the Father, I mean.
Maybe, He doesn't even know who
I am."

"Why, child?"

"Well, I've been trusting in Him,
maybe, too much."

"Ah, I see."

"Yeah. Lord Jesus, You're really
sweet and compassionate, and everything.
I see the Father as really cold, and
mean, and distant."

"Always, child?"

"Well, no. I think it depends on my mood,
Lord Jesus."

[NOD.]

"I think if it weren't for You, Lord Jesus,
I wouldn't have started praying again, at all.
I've been, eh........MIFFED......
at the Father, for a little while, You know?"

"Yes, My child."

"I guess I could just talk to You, huh?
I'm not really sure how this works, to be honest."

"What, child?"

"This........intercession thing, Lord Jesus. What do
I do: talk to You, and then ask You to pass a note
on to Him? How does this work, anyhow?"

"Read My Word, beloved."

"Oy; I'm tired, Lord Jesus! I wish everything
in Your Book was alphabetized!"

[Silence.]

[SILENCE.]

"Okay, I'll look."

[SMILE.]

"Here's something:

Whatever you ask in prayer,
you will receive;
if you have faith.
[Matthew 21:22]"

"Do you believe My Word, child?"

"No. Yeah. I mean, yeah, I guess so.
Yeah, sometimes. I guess.
[Silence.]
Yeah! I do!"

"Go to sleep now, child."

"Yeah. I will, Lord Jesus.
There's that daylight savings thing,
tomorrow. Nobody likes it.
It's really stupid."

[SMILE.]

"Well; tell the Father I said 'hi'
..... for me. Okay?"

[NOD.]

"BUT, TELL HIM HE'S NOT OUT OF THE WOODS
YET, LORD JESUS! I MEAN IT!"

"Yes, My beloved child."

"I love You, Lord Jesus.
You're really beautiful."
*******************************************
Weeping may endure for a night.
But, joy comes in the morning.
[Psalm 30:5]
