Pain

There is something that is so hard to deal with
Something that always brings a mark of grief with it
So distressing that at times there seems no loop of relief
Keeping you depressed and giving you no room to breathe

It has the power to make you enraged, its aim to make you its slave
Sensitive to all it brings, all the hurt and never ending stabs
It feels like it will never end, as though that is to be your demise for the rest of your days
It sets a trap with torment and agony as its ropes, holding you tight and not letting you go

If you could only share it, trading burdens when ever you please
Then at least you could relieve your self and that person of the misery
That seeks to keep you in its chains, crying and ripping your heart out each day
It makes you stop and think, what it is that you have done to deserve such PAIN!!
Which is its name, sent from the devil to steal your soul away

The devil uses it as his tool because he knows humans are quick to put blame
And the first person we blame is our God, our Father with no delay
But why would a Father hurt his child and leave such costly scars????
He is our deliverer, ready to take the pain away as soon as we just ask

Of course we have trials and struggles filled with hurt and aching
But if we look to the Lord through these times, the reward will be greater
Even though pain may come our way, with the Lord in our life we rebuke the chains
That can get a tight grip and strangle us, moving us from Jesus our helper

It is His blood that sets us free, so we need it in order to defeat!!
It may be hard to believe, but Jesus gives true love and peace
No problem is too big for our God, do trust Him, just taste and see
He will give you understanding through your grief
And you will realize that there is a better day, not too far off too see

So there is a friend in God who will carry our burdens
All the through your life until you enter the gates of heaven
Just place your problems at his feet, praying with power and belief
And he will lift you up and give you wings, as free as an eagle you shall be
Soaring high with understanding and power over your painful ordeal

Because he understands and loves you so much,he also doesn’t want to see you hurting/crying!!
But only wants to help you fight this tool called Pain, which the devil uses to lie to us
So please stay strong and lean on the Lord, because this pain won’t last for too long
But without the Lord, in its wake, this pain may leave you with scars and your joy taken forever more.
