(Author's note: 'Nu?' is Yiddish
for 'So? Now what?')

The Jews answered Him,
'It is not for a good work that
we stone you but for blasphemy....
because You, being a Man, make
Yourself God.

Jesus answered them......
The Father is in Me
And I am in the Father.
[John 10:33-39]

"Lord Jesus?"

"Yes, child."

"I've been disappointed, in the
Lord, lately, and now I don't what
to make of You, at all."

[SILENCE.]

"I wasn't brought up Christian,
Lord Jesus. In my house, You
didn't exist. We never
spoke Your name. Today,
I love You, and think
that You are very beautiful,
Lord Jesus, but I still have
trouble saying Your name."

[NOD.]

"And, all of those words in red
still make me uncomfortable,
Lord Jesus. It's kind of
like opening the door to
a room in my house that I
never thought existed: it's filled
with all sorts of lovely things,
but it doesn't seem like it
belongs to me."

"Read My Word, daughter."

"You mean the red parts, Lord Jesus?
Well, here's one:

My sheep hear My Voice,
and I know them,
and they follow Me.
[John 10:27]"

"Go on."

"You mean the next part, Lord Jesus?

And I give them eternal life,
and they shall never perish...
[John 10:28]"

[NOD.]

"And no one shall snatch them
out of My Hand.
My Father, who has given them
to Me, is greater than all....
I and the Father are One.
[John 10:28-30]

I like the sheep part, Lord Jesus.
It's the One part that confuses
me. And, the Holy Spirit: I
don't get Him, at all."

"Ah, I see."

"Nu?"

"Read My Word, child.
Read, and live."

"Okay. I'll try.
I opened the door to You,
and the thought of closing it,
now, seems unbearable."

"And, what is My Name, child?"

"Your Name is Jesus.
You are Jesus, Lord."
***********************************
I am the Good Shepherd.
[John 10:14]

Julie - You are very good at conversational articles. Your flow always works and that is hard to do. I enjoy reading your stuff. I feel your heart in this one and God feels it too. Just trust Him to bring His Son alive to you as well as the Holy Spirit. Read His word prayerfully and listen for His voice. You will hear it. I personally love reading 1st John as well as the four gospels. God bless you in your journey to know the true God. Love in Christ Jesus,

Julia
