I look at the earth,
Stricken with tragedy;
Those without second birth,
Falling into eternity;

Those who have not the Lord
To have made Him their passion,
Are those whose lies they’ve adored;
Their beliefs have sent them crashing;

Then I see the ones called “brethren”,
Who have strayed far from the Truth;
They’ve replaced Him for love of sin;
Their cold hearts too sad a proof;

These are those who’ll still face mercy,
Simply because of the Son, our Promise;
While they’ll stay, their sin will flee,
This event to be a greater witness;

They’ll not enjoy an abundant entrance,
While still entering the joy of the Father;
No reward from the greatest Sentience,
Declaring Jesus their greatest Brother;

So death teaches what is simple to me,
My life here is my only chance,
To live as He’d wish, and be free,
Declare Jesus Lord; make Him my stance;

For what I say and do here now,
Reflects who I really am;
To stand up to men, and to Him, bow,
And live in fear of the Son of Man;

My last breath I’ll breathe in peace,
Knowing I lived His desire;
To go to Him, all strife to cease,
And to His love, retire.
