I often ask God , "Why
Do our loved ones die of cancer?"
I have so very many whys
But seldom get an answer.

He asks me just to trust Him
For He knows what is best
And I can lay my burdens down
Refresh my soul and rest.`

The problem is the "Y" in why
Becomes a fish hook if I fret
About the answer I can't find,
Then Jesus says,"Not yet."

"I cannot tell you now , My child,'
The Master says so clearly.
"The only thing you need to know is
I love you very dearly."

"And I have plans to prosper you;
Not to hurt or harm.
I have come to give you peace
Not to cause alarm."

So trust Me now to take you through.
I will make a way.
Walk closely child, beside Me.
Give ear to what I say."

"No weapon formed will prosper
Your enemies will be naught.
Every battle that you're in,
I have already fought."

"Faith is simply moving forward
On the path I've set for you.
You need not know the answers
Just trust Me to be true. "
