Though sometimes we may feel all alone
and cast over into the deep
But just hang tough" and ride out the rough
for we have a God that never sleeps

There may not even be an answer right then
as the sea brings in those troubles
But don't give up the ship, hold on to faith
even if at times they seem to double

No sea can hold us, nor depths can claim us
and no darkness can keep us in
For our Captain has control of every situation
and will be there through the thick and thin

His grace was extended, His love was proved
so that no one would ever go without
and he's willing to show his works to me and you
and bring us forth with a song and shout

You ask does he not hear the silent cries
could it be too far, for him to see
Does he not even feel our pains and sorrows
has he forgotten what he promised you and me

Well in the midst of the troubles he is there
in the darkest hours he calms every fear
So we need not doubt, we will conquer the sea
see he's already made the traveling route clear

So tell me what Captain would abandon his ship
in knowing he purchashed it with his blood
Just so that we would not be lost
nor let us be swept away in life's flood
