On wings of a prayer, I rode it through
because my God was on my side
In the heat of the battle I held onto his word
for there in my heart it did abide

When no one was around I stood my ground
and kept faith in the God I trust
Through hardship and pain, I held the reins
for in his word he told me I must

Plus put all my troubles in his hands
allow him to work it out his way
No matter the problem, my God can solve them
and let the sun come through a cloudy day

For in those dark hours there was no light
and the clouds hung very low
But I remember his promise, that He'll never me
no matter how rough the winds may blow

So as I rode it through I heard him say
be still and know I'm God
For He's in control of every situation
and under his wings I can hide
