Faith
The following is something the Lord put on my heart to write for a very special friend who snuck up on me out of nowhere and tested me like I haven't been tested in years! But it wasn't exactly a bad thing. See, my new friend made me stop, however unkowingly, and consider the condition of my heart. My friends, you know who you are... you who have seen sides of me that I don't often reveal here for public view, tender sides of me: Forgive me for tucking the deeper parts of my heart away, for holding you at an arm's length. It was all I had to give, all I wasn't afraid to give. So really, this isn't just for my new friend. It's for all of you who've loved me, often despite me.
Welcome Behind the Walls
Oh the walls, those walls, those poorly built walls,
how they've crumbled about my feet.
It’s been a while, a long, long while,
since first I took the Mercy Seat.
That thorough restoration process,
oh my God, how faithful is my King!
If He could replace my shattered ruins,
I know He can do anything!
He knows what I need much better than I do!
He hears my softest spoken prayers.
Who was I to ask how or why
He chose to put an angel there.....
there upon those sturdy new walls
that Jesus built around my heart,
to watch over me like the guardian you are,
to keep me safe and set apart?
There is not one who can compare
to the Refuge that is my King.
But in case I’ve failed to tell you,
I feel safe also in your wing.
I feel safe here, letting you love me,
a gift to me from God’s own hand.
I don’t mind at all, letting you behind the walls,
walls not built by the hands of man.

A wonderful message here! You are not alone, lots of us hide behind our self-built walls because we've sometimes suffered pains we are afraid we'll forget and open the door & it will all come tumbling down. A blessed message you have shared today. God Bless You
ahhh sister, what a beautiful poem! As one person commented, a willing heart will always be led out into the sun. I know many of the walls that have been in my life were out of self-preservation, while others I believe were ordained by God, because He is so loving. Perhaps many will not understand that! Treava, it is an honor knowing you and watching you grow. I've recently learned that walls aren't such a terrible thing. They protect us until God is ready in his own time for them to come down...on their own. Try not to feel guilty about being guarded. A willing heart like yours will always be led out into the sun...in His perfect time. The results are really splendid aren't they?
You will walk in the glorious sunshine of God's divine love!
