Some nights I go to sleep
with a burden on my heart.
But as night turns to morning
I get a brand new start.

Mornings bring renewed hope
and a clearer path I can see.
The burden I was bearing
seems less weighty to me.

The mornings change my focus
and my thinking is more clear.
Because in the stillness of the night
God Himself draws near.

The feeble words I utter at night
as I kneel down in prayer
ascends up to the throne of God
as I rest in the father's care.

Things look better in the mornings
faith is restored at daylight.
Because God doesn't just work days
He also work at night.
