Favour

"By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me. And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest me before thy face for ever. Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting. Amen and Amen." Psalm 41:11-13

The psalmist, David, knew the favour of God and he knew this favour in a very practical way - in victory over the enemy - mine enemy - a personal enemy. This enemy knew him well and capitalized on his weaknesses.
But his God knew him better and gave him insight so that his enemy did not triumph over him. Praise God for his personal intervention on our behalf. Any intergrity that the psalmist had was because the Lord established and upheld him in it.
Being "set before the face of the Lord God of Israel for ever" was a comfort to David. If before his face, then ever under his watchful care. "Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting". Blessed be the Lord God of eternity who knows no beginning or end but can keep in his personal view and care the one caught in the transient battles of earth.
