Tell me, please, where is the gate;
Where I find the place of One so great?
I am here, to become complete;
To find the One I desire to meet;

You see, I know my heart’s recesses;
My need can’t hide, and so confesses;
I’m lost without the One great King;
With need I come, to Him I bring;

Chorus:
They told me where I could find
This Son o’ God, who is so kind,
To die for all, yet live again;
His work for all, atones for sin;

I need to find this Son of late,
Learned He’s within the King’s Gate;
The place where He alone abides;
The temple He alone resides;

To find the One who sets free,
I soon saw He had found me;
With mercy and grace He sought to bring,
My desire for Him called this King;

I find You there; in my soul’s reaches;
I find the truth my life beseeches;
Holy Lord, Your praise I sing,
I fall at the feet of this holy King;
Now I see where I find this gate;
Come to the One so high and great;
I cannot leave; I can’t depart;
This gate is now the shell o’ my heart;
