DON’T LET GLOOM ENTER THE ROOM!

Daily we read God’s word and have a fresh renewing of our minds. We have minds like a sponge, we absorb it all. Even when others speak, our minds are absorbing what is being said. That is why we should be cautious about our words and the way they are presented.

Proverbs 16:24 says—Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.

When we smile we project happiness and brings forth another smile of those we meet. Even if you don’t feel like smiling==smile anyhow and you will see the reward! Smiling and happiness is catching!

Wouldn’t you like to be “on fire”, “catching”, “jubilant”! Don’t let gloom enter the room!! Fight off depression, unhappiness, defeat and all those things that cause you to not smile! When you think you have lemons, you can still have cherries!

When we speak negatively, we actually speak it into being. I remember a young man when I was a child that actually was berated by his father over and over and he used to think he wasn’t any good, worth nothing and could do nothing right. That carried over to his adulthood and caused a very upset young man whose temper got out of control. He had to go for counseling and realized he was worth more than he thought! My point here is—if you speak it over and over you eventually believe it and it causes alot of depression and unhappiness.

So be careful with the words you speak and ask God for guidance. Be careful not to offend anyone and if you do, go to them immediately and make it right. Sometimes we avoid things because it is hard to face but it is always the best to deal with it and mend the relationship. Whether or not the other person is embracing your apology will determine how your relationship will be from then on. Make sure if you are on the receiving end, your attitude and heart are right before God and be willing to accept an apology and go on. Remember those kind words!

Don’t let gloom enter the room! If it does, kick it out!! Leave the troubles and cares in the closet and pray. God is still there and always hears us. Watch that your words are well seasoned with LOVE. Make them pleasing as it says in Proverbs and you will never go wrong. You will also find many friends, relationships and much happiness ahead!
