"Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed". (Mark 1:35, NKJV)

"When you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly". (Matthew 6:5-6, NKJV)

What more can I say? Nothing. Only this--God wants to spend time with you and only you, alone, in a quiet place where you and He will not be disturbed or distracted, away from your family members, away from all the clamor that makes up your daily life. He has things He wants to tell you and show you, and He wants to hear from you. You make time to talk to your other friends daily--I talk to my mother every single day, often more than once. Isn't God, as important as these people may be, so much more important?

Close a few doors, lock them behind you if you must.

It doesn't even have to be in the morning, but set aside some time as often as you can to spend with only Him. Find a place, or places, to escape to, and no matter what else is going on around you, just go!

It's really all about you and Him. Make time for Him.

He makes time for you.
