Turned Down, Shut Down & Mistreated

Today I had a conversation with a young lady who was all fired up! She was feeling real picked on by the enemy and here’s what she said: “You know I’ve been turned down, shut down & mistreated but I still got God and I ain’t givin’ up!”

You don’t know what joy that brought to me to hear a teenager today face the enemy head on! She was fed up! She’d had enough! She called him on his games! She stood her ground!

There was a time in this young life that she would have rolled over and taken the blows, but she recognizes what God has done in her life and she is fighting mad. She recognizes that the enemy is just as upset – cause he wants her back and has thrown some pretty hairy punches in the past two weeks, nevertheless – she continues on!

We can all take encouragement from these words. I dare say there is one out there that hasn’t felt turned down, shut down and mistreated! It is a reminder that regardless what the enemy throws at us – we are not down for the count! Regardless of how mistreated you have been – GOD is still in control!

We must get a white-knuckle grip on God’s Word – just like this young lady – and let the devil know:

But no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall show to be in the wrong. This [peace, righteousness, security, triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord [those in whom the ideal Servant of the Lord is reproduced]; this is the righteousness or the vindication which they obtain from Me [this is that which I impart to them as their justification], says the Lord. Iasaiah 54:17 Amplified

And this is why I am suffering as I do. Still I am not ashamed, for I know (perceive, have knowledge of, and am acquainted with) Him Whom I have believed (adhered to and trusted in and relied on), and I am [positively] persuaded that He is able to guard and keep that which has been entrusted to me and which I have committed [to Him] until that day. II Timothy 1:12 Amplified

Yet amid all these things we are more than conquerors and gain a surpassing victory through Him Who loved us. Romans 8:37 Amplified

Lord Jehovah, we’ve been turned down, shut down & mistreated and sometimes it feels like the weight is going to break us – but we declare today according to the power of Your Word – according to the promises in Your Word that NOTHING – WE MEAN NOTHING will separate us from Your LOVE! We go forward today recognizing it is not anything within ourselves, but everything to do with YOU! Regardless of what is thrown at us today – regardless what is said about us today – WE STAND KNOWING THAT WE ARE VICTORIOUS THROUGH THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST! In Your MIGHTY AND HOLY NAME! WE DECLARE IT! AMEN!
