A Touch of Tenderness



Often times we are reminded that God loves us in special, small ways. We may look in several directions, but in the end, we find God’s love is in those quiet times and special days we often take for granted.

A touch of tenderness is all that is needed to complete our day. Whether it is a hurting friend, a loving touch, a kind word or a hug, we all benefit more from touches of tenderness than a brillo pad!!!

Have you ever rubbed someone the wrong way? Been sad or upset because you didn’t understand what you said or did? Our actions are often mistaken by others and even after much explanation, we find the touch of tenderness is needed.

God provides those touches in our lives that encourage us through others, bring a tear or a smile, a hug. Strive to be the one to provide those caring ways with God being your guide and you will encourage others many times over and over.

We are to encourage each other in the Lord, pray for each other and care. Ephesians 4:32
Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. Do you hit yourself in the head and question your actions, beat yourself up and wonder what else you can do?

Well—then get moving!! Pray, listen, and help those you can by being a friend. Often we don’t know what to do when faced with life’s trials and we tend to hide away and avoid problems or just think and think and think and cry. It is those times, we need others and even though we think not at the time, once dealt with—the light looks brighter and we realize God is truly in control of our lives.

That touch of tenderness is just what we need at that time. It is also what others need if you listen to your heart and do it! Share your joys, sorrows, trials and more and see what God has ahead for you! Our lives can be an example of God’s grace and love.

Do you know what to do? Get going—do it!! Don’t wait, tomorrow is another day and it may be too late to respond. That person needs your love and tenderness NOW! You are God’s instrument and a vessel of hope! Then the tenderness you have shown will be returned 10 fold by God in ways you can never expect! Our lives need to be focused on the things that will improve the lives of others with God at the center of it all.

Don’t feel you have anything to offer?? Well----you are wrong! We are all God’s children and God uses us all in different ways. Instead of questioning what you can do and how, just do what your heart is saying and share God’s love. It is rewarding and you will see your life and someone else’s improve!!

Heartaches in life are many, joys are also! Gloom and doom have no place in rejoicing! Negative never outweighs the positive!! So relax, and let God do the rest!!
