My Whole Heart

He wants my whole heart,
Not just a little piece.
He wants my very being
For He must always increase.

How can I say I love Him
If not with my whole heart?
If I cannot give Him my life
One day He may say “Depart.”

I was called to be His child
Not just for one day a week.
But every minute and every hour
His face I forever will seek.

He draws me when I wander
Brings me back into His embrace;
Reminds me I belong to Him.
And for me, there’s no better place!

"He wants my whole heart
Not just a little piece." That truth is so simple, but I sometimes stumble over it and I need to be reminded. I love this one. It's lovely. Thanks Julia for all your beautiful writing. And I'm so glad you got a bang out of Technophia!

So true. People will sing "I Surrender All" with emotion but never actually do it.
God bless.

..I am so glad that God does bring us back when we wander..."All we like sheep have gone astray." but the Good Shepherd brings us back into His fold.
