I stole this idea from Mrs. Helen Dowd. She did an article with the first two lines in it. I thought it too good to pass up for a poem. Hope you don't mind, Helen.

Feed Your Faith

Feed your faith and
Your doubts will starve to death
Praise the Lord
With every single breath

Take big portions
Of God’s Word each and every day
Then kneel in prayer
To keep that old devil away

For he’ll sneak in
If he finds you empty and unaware
He’ll bind you up
And cast out to you a snare!

If you stay full
And practice what you preach
There’s no room
For old satan’s annoying screech

When worry comes
You may have neglected your soul
So feed your faith!
It’s hungry, don’t you know?

Julia, this is a good one. I know it is true. Faith grows by the Word of God. Oh, then why do I sometimes neglect it? Thanks for this. I liked Helen's too!

Julia, I not only don't MIND that a couple of my lines inspired you to write this poem, I am totally blessed that they did. No one has an original thought, and it is our privilege, as Christians, to bless people. I know that you will bless many by this poem. One's thoughts come from the Holy Spirit, if we stay in tune with Him. God bless you.
