When you have God as your Captain
then the ship will not go down
It will sail on through the troubled waters
for He holds the upper ground

Though there be a many ships, upon the seas
and all going at full steam
But, the one we're on, has been purchased
and it's soul has been redeemed

Tell me how can you sink, a loaded vessel
that comes with so much power
Being stirred by the hands of a loving Savior
that to us, is a mighty high tower

Engraved on her sides, is the name of Jesus
that glows bright, like a beckon light
Which shines in our hearts, through any darkness
and that's even, if it's day or night

Our masts of faith, will keep us going
even when, the waters are rough
For we are built on the words, of a caring God
that can keep us when times are tough

He's a help to withstand, the storms in our paths
keeping us strong, as, the winds blow
No deep can claim us, while on this journey
for in His word, it tells us so

The Lord's at helm, day in and day out
there to lead us, safely through
and all we have to do, is rest on Him
for He's forever faithful, to me and you

The troubling waves, will have to bow to Him
when they see, who's on board this flight
and they will have to obey and clear the way
for our Savior, to make it all right

Ahoy O' ship of souls, you will not break up
cause you are, the unsinkable ship
and just know that you, are in good hands
while you are on this trip

Stay anchored in Him, all the way
keep your eyes, on the crown
and brave on through, for He loves me and you
and will not, let His ship go down
