IN EVERYTHING GIVE THANKS


In everything give thanks
It's what the scripture says
But sometimes, it's hard to give thanks
I really do confess
But, when everything is going well
And there's nothing going wrong
It's easy to praise, and thank the dear Lord -
Who, in the night, gives a song
It's important, I say,
When troubles come your way
To go to the Lord in prayer
And you can be sure
That He will meet you there
He's waiting for your gratitude
While checking out your attitude
Prayer will help your spirit climb
While going through a terrible time
The secret is praise
While letting anthems raise
Knowing He's bringing you through
So, in everything give thanks, I say
It's a very good habit to pursue
