MY SECRET PLACE

Dwelling under the shadow
Of the Almighty God
Is where my soul delights to be
Prayer and praise are the keys
To our communion sweet
Where I enjoy a royal treat
As I lay all of my burdens
Down at His feet
He listens while I shed my tears
Sharing all my doubts, and griefs, and fears
And then my sorrowing heart, He cheers
When I am feeling tired from temptations sore
I return to that "secret place"
Where I have been many times before
I am lifted safely into His arms of love
Enjoying now the blessings
Showered down from above
