Take these hard cold walls,
With this hard colder heart;
My thoughts are all on me;
They could all be on you;

But for His good grace,
I would seek you ‘til you’re found,
For I’m not ready, dear,
So, I wait on Him for you;

Do you wait for the time,
We would share a sunrise?
Are you waiting, sweet,
'Til we would share ourselves?

My heart aches for that…

My flesh still unbound,
Only meant for the only one;
In the hand of my God,
My spirit’s an unfurled flag,

Does it fly for you,
To find you by His might and eyes?
My part is to let Him
Keep me unfurled, by His strength;

So please wait for the time,
When we’ll share a sunrise,
And keep waiting, sweet,
‘Til we can share ourselves?

I write for one I don’t yet know,
The one who’ll draw me out;
May she find me unfurled,
Flying over His glory.
