I have that which pertains
To life and godliness;
It is the volume that speaks of You,
Where I can find You, Lord;

It is here, where I find my way;
That which provokes me to worship;
This is that which testifies of You,
That which shows me who You are;

It is the joy and longing of my heart;
As my flesh desires food,
My spirit desires Your mandates;
My soul longs for Your revelation;

Withhold not Your word from me, but keep me in this to abide;
It is the strength of my life,
And the light of my heart’s eyes;

I have found You in the Old and the New;
You are the Ladder of Jacob,
And Adam, with his side pierced for his bride;
You are the Rock that Moses struck,
And the Man of the 22nd Psalm;
In seeking great things in Your word,
I have found You.
