The End of A Thing
What Are Your Expectations?

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not evil, to give you an expected end.

Matthew 24:13
But he that shall endure until the end, the same shall be saved

End – final point, termination, extreme limit, extremity, conclusion, finish, later or final point, result, outcome, goal, or purpose.

It is not how you start, but how you finish. You may start slow, or fast, but what is important is that you start and finish. On our birth date, God already knew what our lives would be like, and what role he would play in our life.

Expectation – expecting or looking forward, anticipation, belief, assumption, hope, wish, desire.

Expect – regard as likely, look for an appropriate or one’s due. Calling, think, suppose, look forward or ahead to. Contemplate, foresee, envision, or anticipate.

Endure – undergo, (difficulty) tolerate, last, face, brave, survive, stand, beat, stay, resilient, withstand, weather the storm, put up with, submit, persists, linger

A person that is expecting something diligently hopes for it. Some things we hope do not come now because we are not ready, (Christ’s return for an example), death. If he were to come now, what would he find you doing? Will you be ready?

In Matthew 25:12, it tells us to watch therefore for you know not what hour your Lord will come. He is coming back like a thief in the night so how can you watch for him. We have an expected end, so in the end we would have watched expectedly and lived our lives as Christ and everything within us. Make up your mind today, for no man know the day and hour of Christ’s return, not even the Angels in Heaven, but God only.

Just as in the days of Noah, so shall the coming of the Son be. Noah continuously cried out for the people to come into the Ark because it was going to rain, but they did not heed the call because they did not see any rain in the sky. We know today that the end is coming, but; we take it for granted. God has already looked through the scope of time and saw where we are. Christians professing to have him but their lives say I do not love him because I will not obey his commandments, I want heed to his word wholeheartedly.

It is time, a serious time that we need to examine ourselves and realize our true relationship with God.

The end of a thing; what are your expectations? It is time for faithfulness, honest and truth. It is time we are not as the five foolish virgins, but as the wise virgins, have our lamps filled with the oil of the Spirit, then and only then can we will hear the call and heed the call when it comes.

We are people that still wants to reign in the era of excuses. In Genesis 3:12, Adam blamed the woman Eve that God had given him. “The woman whom thou gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat”. Then God asked Eve; what is this that thou have done? And the woman Eve said, “the serpent beguiled me and I did eat”. Do we deceive Jesus with our eating of the wrong things; things to the flesh, but not to the Word.

In Luke 14:18, and they; all with one consent, began to make excuse. The first said, I have brought a piece of ground and I must need go and see it. Will our houses keep us from seeing Jesus in the End? In our time we have invested so much into our homes that we will go to work to pay for them, but scared to leave them to go to church. What are we doing? What’s your excuse, your oxen, your spouse, children, or your job? God, of course knows where you are. He knows the deep things of your heart.

In Acts 24:25, Felix and his wife hear about Jesus from the Apostle Paul. Felix heard but was not ready to yield so he told him to go thy way for this time, I will call for thee. Paul was incarcerated so he figured that he could call him anytime. When the convenient season would come, that is when he wanted, but Jesus came in his time and left man without excuse.

Romans 1:20, for the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse. Why do Christians do the things we do? Why do we play with the most important part of man? For God breathe the breath of life in man and he became a living soul. We have since cease to nourish our souls with the Word of God less alone live the Word. We let everything come between our commitment and love for our eternal Father. Most of the things that hinder us are the closest things to us, our mother, father, sister, brother, husband, wife, grandparents, children, and friends.

It comes a time in our life that we must look to the end and say I will let nothing separate me from the love of God, because if any man love another more than God, cannot enter into Heaven.

The end of a thing usually is better than the beginning and if you endure all the way to the end with God, you will receive eternal life. Eternal life is far better than life as we know it here on earth. Where will the end find you?
