I think one of the saddest things in the Bible is the passage, just two little words, 'Jesus wept'.

I wonder how many times during the day I cause Jesus to weep. Do you? It's heartbreaking if you really consider it. How many times do I deliberately cause Jesus to cry because I blindly, and sometimes not so blindly, just forge on ahead, not even thinking about what I am doing?

Only later, after I've done or said the thing,do I pause. And, by then, it's too late. I've already done it or said it. I'm sure most of you know that indescribable feeling. That ache in the pit of your stomach, that little rip within your very soul.

Sad to admit--I feel it more often than I'd like to.

So, we go back and try to fix it, sometimes succeeding, sometimes not, and always asking to be forgiven. Always BEING forgiven by our merciful Father and Friend.

I want to make Jesus smile over me more often. That is my goal. When He looks down on me, I want Him to smile more than He frowns.

I feel this is a worthy goal, and I am determined to try to get there.

Who wants to come with me?

Two, or three, or a hundred, are much better than one. Let's cheer one another on!
