In my name shall they… Mark 16:17

I have seen it so many times, a 5ft lollypop lady steps into in the middle of the road during rush hour and with one show of the sign she carries halts the movement of motorists. Even the big tough guys behind the construction trucks gently obey this frail lady in her late sixties like a 3 year old would obey mummy when shouted at. What is the secret of the average lollypop lady at the corner of Chatsworth Street? She works at the authority of the Queen or in Bible language in the name of the Queen. Simply put she has the authority of the Queen backing her and anybody who disobeys her disobeys the highest power in the whole of the commonwealth.

Jesus says those who believe in Him will work wonders in His name. The secret of the name of Jesus can be found in Philippians 2:9-10
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

As the greatest force in the whole of the universe, the name of Jesus is sure to work wonders any time and anywhere because it is the name which when used releases authority. All forces in heaven and earth constantly bow to it. It changed civilisations, enthrones and dethrones rulers, raises the dead, empowers the powerless and gives hope to the hopeless. It is the name of God himself and it releases the power of God. When used in faith, it unlocks doors, the heavens stand at attention when it is mentioned and the kingdom of darkness trembles at the sound of it. It is the terror of satan and the power of the Christian.

The name is the basis for all wonders and it is available for the Christian to use today. By using this name Peter made the lame walk, John Knox shook Scotland, and the missionaries changed Africa. You have heaven’s greatest deposit of power in the name. Jesus never said go and provide power for yourselves, he said in my name shall they (you), for his name is the power generator, we are only the conductors taking the power to the world.

At the mention of the name we can do wonders, we can have all things God wills for us. The name is available for us to use today against all forces of Satan.
